Back-roll/reverse roll your rug and allow time for the creases to relax. You can use something heavy to place on the carpet, or you can use the iron low-temperature ironing.

Daily cleaning with vacuum cleaner, rug brush, or cleaning spray to clean it regularly. Machine Wash in cold water with mild detergent; Do not use chlorine or bleach; Tumble dry on low heat or lay to air dry.

Can this rug be washed in a standard washing machine?

For sizes 2' x 3', 3' x 5', 4' x 6' and 5' x 7': Machine wash cold in front-load washer recommended. For sizes 6'x9', 8'x10' and 9'x12': Machine wash cold in commercial laundromat size front load washing machine only.

What material is this made from? Is this area rug non-slip?

Polyester. Very soft to walk on, like velvet. The TPE non-slip backing design is rough which can keep the rugs for the living room stable. For an added boost in grip, we recommend using it in conjunction with an additional rug pad.

Will the backing scratch or make marks on hardwood floors?

The back is soft material so it does not scratch hardwood floors. I have this rug on a new hardwood floor. No scratches.
